UIT’s annual student sports event, “UIT Sport,” stands as the largest sporting competition at the university, designed to create a healthy platform for students to showcase their athletic skills and promote unity across departments. It’s not just a typical sports competition; it’s an opportunity for students to learn from each other, develop teamwork, and build a strong, energetic community at UIT.

The event features a variety of sports, including Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Chess, Chinese Chess, Badminton, and Table Tennis, giving students many chances to compete for prestigious medals.

Every year, UIT Sport receives enthusiastic participation from students across all departments. The matches are filled with excitement and tension, providing unforgettable moments for participants. Each season offers a platform for UITers to express their sports talents, enhancing the university life experience for students at UIT.

Beyond being a sports event, UIT Sport also serves as an opportunity for students to meet one of the Five Criteria for the “Five Good Students” Award. Each participant receives a Certificate of Participation in UIT Sport, fulfilling the "Good Health" criterion, which is an essential part of earning the prestigious "Five Good Students" title.

Welcoming New Students with Exciting Events

From the moment they join UIT, new students are welcomed into an environment of modern, creative learning. Alongside the traditional opening ceremony, UIT offers a series of exciting events to immerse students in a vibrant and engaging campus life.

In 2024, the welcoming event for new UIT students returned with a fresh and exciting approach, bringing the “mini Korea” experience to UIT. Under the theme “OSEYO UIT,” the event took students on a colorful journey, blending lively music, delicious food, and engaging sports activities, creating an energetic atmosphere. With booths from UIT’s student unions and clubs, this event served as a connection point between different student generations, offering newcomers a chance to meet seniors, explore active clubs, and join those that align with their interests and passions. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to build relationships, expand their networks, and enrich their UIT experience.

Additionally, the “UIT K2024 Say Hi” music night marked an explosive highlight of the welcoming events. The program featured performances by artists such as Đức Phúc, DJ Mie, and Vũ Thịnh, offering students a lively and memorable experience. This annual music night is a highly anticipated event, allowing students to enjoy music, bond with new friends, and strengthen unity within the UIT community. The massive participation of thousands of students is a testament to the significance of this event and the vibrancy of student life at UIT.

Acoustic Show – Connecting the UIT Community Through Music

The UIT Acoustic Show is a special musical event designed to provide students with a cozy, heartfelt musical space. This event allows students to relax after intense study sessions while also offering a stage for UIT’s musical talents to shine with live performances.

Organized by the UIT LOSSLESS Music Club, the Acoustic Show is an integral part of campus life, making appearances at various events throughout the year. Whether it’s the opening ceremony, special military-themed concerts for UIT students, or fundraising music performances, the Acoustic Show brings students together, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.

With exciting performances and engaging activities like random dance and mini-game dance covers, the show brings joy, energy, and creativity to everyone involved. It’s not only a place to enjoy music but also an opportunity to connect with fellow UITers, share a love for music, and create lasting bonds within the UIT community.
