Artificial Intelligence is becoming increasingly integrated into healthcare. Yet meaningful innovation goes beyond algorithms. The greater challenge lies in how technology can address real-world needs, support healthcare professionals, improve patient care, and contribute to healthier communities.

On October 2–3, 2026, University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (UIT) will host the 4th International Conference on Health Informatics – HEALTHINFO IV 2026, under the theme “AI for Healthcare.”

The conference will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry representatives from Vietnam and abroad, creating an interdisciplinary platform for sharing research findings, exchanging perspectives, and exploring emerging applications of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.

Where Artificial Intelligence meets Health Sciences

As AI continues to advance, its applications in healthcare are expanding across research, clinical practice, healthcare management, education, and public health. HEALTHINFO IV 2026 creates an academic space where Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Health Sciences can converge to address these developments from multiple perspectives.

The conference covers a broad spectrum of topics, including Health Equity, Health Protection, Healthcare Management, Health Rehabilitation & Restoration, Health Education, Health Literacy, and Health Promotion.

Through presentations, discussions, and academic exchanges, participants will have opportunities to explore how technological advances can be connected with actual healthcare needs while establishing new interdisciplinary research connections.

Connecting researchers and experts from Vietnam and abroad

HEALTHINFO IV 2026 brings together researchers and experts from different disciplines and institutions, providing opportunities for new ideas to be examined through both technological and healthcare perspectives.

This interdisciplinary approach is particularly important in health informatics, where technological solutions need to respond to complex questions involving data, healthcare systems, medical practice, and the needs of patients and communities.

By bringing different fields together at UIT, the conference aims to encourage academic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and potential research collaboration among participants from Vietnam and the international community.

From research ideas to real-world healthcare challenges

Beyond academic discussions, HEALTHINFO IV 2026 will also feature the Health AI Innovation Forum, connecting technology companies, hospitals, healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and research organizations.

The forum creates an opportunity for researchers and industry representatives to discuss real-world healthcare needs and explore how AI-driven solutions can move from research ideas toward practical applications.

The connection between academia, healthcare, and industry can also help researchers gain a clearer understanding of challenges arising in practice, while enabling organizations to engage with emerging technologies, research expertise, and potential collaborative partners.

Expanding interdisciplinary research connections at UIT

Hosting HEALTHINFO IV 2026 contributes to UIT’s efforts to expand interdisciplinary research and strengthen connections between Information Technology and other fields with significant societal impact.

Healthcare is one such area where advances in Artificial Intelligence, data science, information systems, and related technologies can create new opportunities for research and innovation.

Through HEALTHINFO IV, UIT provides a platform where researchers, healthcare professionals, organizations, and industry partners can exchange knowledge, identify shared challenges, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

From research laboratories to real-world healthcare environments, meaningful innovation emerges when technological capabilities are connected with actual human needs. HEALTHINFO IV 2026 provides a space for those connections to take shape – bringing research ideas closer to applications that can contribute to the future of healthcare.
