On the morning of November 30, at the Headquarters of VNUHCM, Assoc. Prof. Lum Sau Kim - Vice Director of the National University of Singapore (NUS) had a sharing session titled "The NUS Story" with leaders and managerial staff of affiliated units of VNUHCM.

According to the 2024 global university rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), NUS is ranked 8th globally and 1st in Asia. The sharing session aimed to analyze the success story of NUS and the transformation process of the university in recent years.
Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh – Director of the External Relations and Project Development Department at VNUHCM, mentioned that in November 2022, she and Assoc. Prof. Vu Hai Quan - Chancellor of VNUHCM, participated in the 10th-anniversary summit conference of TF-NUS PLUM (Temasek Foundation - NUS Program for University Leadership and Management) in Singapore. The conference not only provided additional knowledge about university leadership and management but also strengthened the partnership between VNUHCM and NUS.
Through the conference, the Chancellor of VNUHCM gained a deep understanding of why NUS has consistently achieved high rankings globally, excelling in academics, making breakthroughs in scientific research, and serving as a center for innovative entrepreneurship in Singapore. Therefore, this sharing session by Assoc. Prof. Lum Sau Kim - Vice Chancellor of NUS, is expected to be a great source of inspiration and valuable international experience for the managerial staff of the VNUHCM system in the vision of developing VNUHCM into a leading research university in Asia.
Before the sharing session, the Vice Chancellor of NUS met with Assoc. Prof. Vu Hai Quan and Dr. Bui Thi Hong Hanh to express gratitude for VNUHCM participation and support at the 10th-anniversary summit conference of TF-NUS PLUM. During the meeting, both sides discussed ideas and suggestions for future PLUM conferences. It is anticipated that the TF-NUS PLUM 2024 conference will focus on issues related to artificial intelligence (AI) in education, mental health, and student life.
