#UITGoGlobal 🌏 UIT Students Expand Global Connections on Day 3 of the “Red Journey” in China
As part of its long-term development strategy, “Going Global” has been identified by the University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM (UIT) as a core direction, closely tied to enhancing education quality, research capacity, and global integration. This vision is increasingly reflected through opportunities for lecturers and students to participate in international learning and exchange programs, gaining exposure to multicultural academic environments and real-world experiences.
On the third day of the 2026 “Red Study and Research Journey for Vietnamese Youth in China,” UIT students continued to engage in meaningful exchange activities, showcasing the identity and confidence of UIT youth on the international stage.
Strengthening Vietnam–China Student Connections
Within the program, the UIT delegation, led by Assoc. Prof. Vu Duc Lung, participated in an exchange session with students from Yunnan Normal University—one of the province’s key teacher training institutions. Vietnamese students were divided into groups to discuss and present insights from the book “Xi Jinping and University Students,” focusing on learning spirit, social responsibility, and the role of youth in modern society.
Notably, UIT students Bui Ngoc Thien Thanh (Honors Program in Computer Science) and Do Thi Nhu Y (Information Systems) delivered an impressive presentation. Their speech demonstrated strong analytical thinking and conveyed a clear message about proactiveness, global integration, and the contributions of Vietnamese youth.
Their presentation also drew thoughtful connections between the teachings of President Xi Jinping and the values that Vietnamese youth follow through the ideology, ethics, and lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh. The presentation received high praise from international professors and opened up opportunities for future academic exchange and collaboration with UIT.

Immersing in Cultural Heritage
In the afternoon, the UIT delegation explored Guandu Ancient Town, a historical site with over 1,000 years of heritage and once a major trading hub in Kunming.
The journey began at the Yunzi Go Academy, a cultural space preserving traditional Go sets and rich intellectual heritage. The day concluded with a hands-on experience in traditional Chinese dough sculpture—an artistic folk activity that allowed students to creatively express themselves by crafting unique figurines.

Spreading the Vision of Global Integration
Wrapping up a day of cultural exploration and international exchange, UIT students gained valuable practical knowledge while demonstrating confidence and dynamism in cross-cultural communication.
Aligned with UIT’s “Going Global” vision, programs like the “Red Journey” are helping students access international academic environments in a more comprehensive way. Through such experiences, students enhance communication skills, acquire new knowledge, and build the confidence needed to thrive in multicultural settings.
The journey continues with more activities ahead, promising even richer and more meaningful experiences. This ongoing program provides UIT students with opportunities to explore, connect, and grow—further promoting the image of dynamic, globally minded learners ready to reach beyond borders. 🌏✨
