In the morning of March 21, 2017, VNU-HCM held the decision announcing ceremony of VNU-HCM's Director on the appointment of Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh as the President of University of Information Technology (UIT).
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Deputy Director General, Deputy Director of MOET Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City; Associate Professor Nguyen Tan Phat, former Vice Minister of Education and Training, former President of VNU-HCM; Associate Professor Duong Anh Duc, Vice President of VNU-HCM; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hoi Nghia, VNU-HCM's Vice Director, and representatives of VNU-HCM and UIT faculty members, faculty, staff, lecturers and students.

Associate Professor Duong Anh Duc congratulated and expressed his belief in the leadership and dedication of Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh for the development of the UIT. At the same time, he thanked all the staffs, lecturers and UIT students for their efforts and unity in the past. "I hope that during this term, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh will continue to build and uphold the tradition of the UIT, making use of the achievements to expand the influence of the UIT" - Associate Professor Duong Anh Duc emphasized.

Speaking for the task, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh thanked the trust of the Party Committee, Board of Directors of VNU-HCM, as well as staffs, lecturers. She said that this is both honor, opportunity and challenge. "To take this task, I am worried but not afraid, knowing that I have to try my best to complete it, to make UIT become the leading IT training company in the country and in the region. In this term, I would like to affirm that we will always put the interests, priorities of the University and majorities above all, continue to maintain the development direction which the University has been formed and developed in the past 10 years as well as make changes that are consistent with the development trend, "- said Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh.
