UIT’s students attained 07 prizes in the Olympic’s National Mathematics Competition

April 6, 2019 - The 2019 Olympic’s National Mathematics Competition for students and undergraduates (Competition) was closed in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province. UIT’s talented student excellently got 07 awards.

- 01 Gold medal (First prize) for Calculus: Mr. Le Xuan Tung – ID Student: 18521616 from Software Engineering Faculty;

- 02 Silver medals (Second prize) for Algebra: Ms. Nguyen Minh Thu - ID Student: 16521201 and Mr. Tran Dinh Khang - ID Student: 18520072 from Computer Science Faculty;

02 Bronze medals (Third Prize) for Algebra and Calculus: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - ID Student: 18521037 from Computer Networks and Communications Faculty and Mr. Pham Le Quang Nhat - ID Student: 18520120 from Computer Science Faculty;

02 Consolation prizes – for Algebra: Mr. Le Quoc Dung - ID student: 18520024 from Computer Networks and Communications Faculty; for Calculus: Mr. Nguyen Van Tien - ID Student: 18521489 from Computer Science Faculty.

The Competition took place from 1-6 April, 2019, co-hosted by The Vietnam Mathematical Society, The Ministry of Education and Training, The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Central Association of Vietnamese Students. The Competition brought together over 650 Vietnamese students from more than 93 universities, institutions, colleges and specialized high schools across the country.

UIT’s Mathematics and Physics Department is in charge of finding, nurturing talented students for the Mathematical Olympic team of the University to attend the Competition. In the Competition, 10 UIT’s students attended and got 07 awards.
