The University of Information Technology (UIT) announces the registration for students who wish to be considered for scholarships in Semester 2 of the Academic Year 2023-2024. The following types of scholarships are applicable in this announcement:

  • Encouragement Scholarship for Academic Achievement (ESAA) Semester 1, Academic Year 2023-2024 (Based on academic performance and conduct grades for Semester 1, Academic Year 2023-2024).

  • Scholarships for High-Quality Program Students (SHQPS), Advanced Program (SAP) Semester 1, Academic Year 2023-2024 (Based on academic performance and conduct grades for Semester 1, Academic Year 2023-2024).

  • Non-budget Scholarships (NBS) Semester 2, Academic Year 2023-2024 (Applicable to scholarships implemented from April 10, 2023, to October 10, 2024).

For admission scholarships (AS), students are not required to register (See section 4 for more details).

  1. Purpose:

The Encouragement Scholarship for Academic Achievement is based on academic and conduct criteria following the current regulations of the Encouragement Scholarship for Academic Achievement. However, with the spirit of service according to the educational philosophy of the University, the Encouragement Scholarship for Academic Achievement is intended to encourage students with good academic performance and difficult circumstances that need support to excel in their studies and conduct.

The Encouragement Scholarship for Academic Achievement embodies its spirit and humanitarian message when supporting students who strive to overcome difficulties in life. Therefore, the university encourages students with good academic performance, stable circumstances, and no significant difficulties to refrain from registering to allocate slots to those who are in need of support.

For non-budget scholarships, the criteria and standards are based on the requirements of the scholarship-granting unit. The scholarship selection committee will consider suitable applications to award scholarships to students.

  1. Eligibility:

For ESAA, SHQPS, and SAP: all regular undergraduate students at the University who wish to receive scholarships are eligible to apply. Students in the BCU linked program do not need to apply for this scholarship as they have their own scholarship program.

For NBS: all regular undergraduate students, including those in the BCU linked program, are eligible to apply.

  1. Classification of Scholarships and ESAA Scholarship Levels

Refer to the details in the image:

Scholarship Calculation Formula:

K = C

G = C x 110%

XS = C x 120%

The standard scholarship level (C) for each course in Semester 1, Academic Year 2023-2024, is determined by the semester tuition fee of the general program for Semester 1, Academic Year 2023-2024, based on Decision No. 18/QD-DHCNTT and Decision No. 19/QD-DHCNTT dated January 5, 2024, regarding the adjustment of tuition fees for the academic year 2023-2024.

  1. Scholarship Consideration Principles:

Students have the right to apply for both ESAA-SHQPS-SAP and NBS scholarships.

In each semester, a student is prioritized for one non-budget scholarship. Exceptions may be made by the scholarship selection committee.

For admission scholarships, Encouragement Scholarships for Academic Achievement, Scholarships for High-Quality Program Students, and Advanced Program Scholarships:

If a student applies for multiple scholarships and meets the criteria for receiving more than one type of scholarship, they will be considered for the highest-value scholarship.

For students eligible for admission scholarships, it is not mandatory to register for ESAA, SHQPS, SAP. In this case, students will only receive admission scholarships.
