The company places particular emphasis on semiconductor technologies and quantum computing, supporting the transformation of research outcomes into practical applications through technical consulting, technology development, strategic partnerships, funding opportunities, and commercialization services. The two parties discussed potential collaboration in semiconductor chip design and fabrication, technology transfer, and intellectual property development. Both sides emphasized that research should be driven by real-world challenges, target identifiable users or customers, and possess strong commercialization potential beyond academic publication, with the capacity to scale into international markets.The meeting also explored several emerging research areas with significant collaboration potential, including artificial intelligence for healthcare and mental health, secure medical data sharing and analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), smart sensing technologies, drones and wireless communications, and technologies supporting elderly care.At the conclusion of the meeting, UIT and N2N AI agreed to continue discussions toward establishing concrete collaborative programs. From 23 to 25 June 2026, the University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Fabien Ferrero from Université Côte d'Azur (France) for a series of academic and collaborative activities aimed at strengthening international research cooperation and innovation.Professor Fabien Ferrero is a faculty member at Université Côte d'Azur and a researcher at the Electronics, Antennas and Telecommunications Laboratory (LEAT). With more than two decades of experience, his research focuses on antenna design and measurement, radio-frequency technologies, and advanced wireless communication systems, including Massive MIMO and LPWAN/LoRa technologies.Beyond academia, Professor Ferrero is also the co-founder of ORB Instruments, a technology spin-off established from Université Côte d'Azur and LEAT, demonstrating a successful model of translating academic research into industrial innovation.During his visit to UIT, Professor Ferrero participated in seminars, academic discussions, and research exchanges with faculty members, researchers, and students. A major highlight of the visit was the installation and deployment of the ORB Mini Antenna Measurement System for the TTLab Research Group of the Faculty of Computer Engineering.  The ORB Mini is a compact Spherical Near-Field (SNF) antenna measurement system capable of accurately characterizing the three-dimensional radiation patterns of antennas. Supporting frequencies from 300 MHz to 8 GHz, the system can measure radio devices with diameters of up to 40 cm and weights of up to 5 kg. Equipped with 36 dual-polarized probes, the ORB Mini can complete a full antenna measurement and generate a 3D radiation pattern in less than one minute.As part of its global partnership program, ORB Instruments selected TTLab at the Faculty of Computer Engineering, UIT, as one of its academic partners and donated the ORB Mini system to the research group. In recognition of exceptional achievements in academics, scientific research, and scholarly activities, the University of Information Technology (UIT), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), held a ceremony on June 2, 2026, to honor recipients of the UIT Advanced Scholarship and the UIT Honors Challenge Awards. The event not only celebrated students’ outstanding accomplishments but also promoted a spirit of academic excellence and inspired students to continuously pursue new heights of knowledge. The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan, Ph.D., Vice President of UIT; Cao Thi Nhan, Ph.D., Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems; Le Ngo Thuc Vi, M.A., Head of the Office of Special Programs, along with representatives from faculties and departments and the students receiving awards and scholarships. In her remarks, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan congratulated the award recipients and acknowledged their perseverance and dedication throughout their academic and research journeys. She emphasized that these achievements are not only the result of individual talent and hard work, but also reflect the spirit of lifelong learning, resilience, and the aspiration to pursue excellence among UIT students. In the Computer Science program, awards were presented to 11 students, including one Grand Prize, one Category A award, three Category B awards, and six Category C awards. In the Information Security program, nine students were recognized, including one Grand Prize, one Category A award, three Category B awards, and four Category C awards.Over the past five years, the total value of scholarships and awards granted through these programs has reached VND 4.7 billion, demonstrating UIT’s strong commitment to nurturing talent and fostering academic excellence. These impressive figures reflect not only the University’s educational quality but also the dedication, perseverance, and growing capabilities of students enrolled in the special academic programs. WELCOME PROFESSOR STEFAN FISCHER TO UIT University of Information Technology (UIT) – VNU-HCM warmly welcomes Professor Stefan Fischer, a leading expert in distributed systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and technology transfer, to join us as a visiting professor.Professor Stefan Fischer is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Lübeck (Germany) and Director of the Institute of Telematics – a renowned research center in computer networks and distributed systems. He has authored and co-authored 35 books/book chapters and 228 scientific publications, making significant contributions to the global research community.Beyond academia, he served as Vice President for Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the University of Lübeck (2016–2024), where he played a key role in connecting academia with industry and government, and promoting the commercialization of research outcomes.His research focuses on distributed systems, IoT, distributed AI, smart cities, and smart healthcare applications. He is also an experienced expert in quality assurance in higher education across Europe.During his visit (May 9–16, 2026), Professor Fischer will engage in teaching, research, and collaboration activities at UIT, contributing to the development of digital technologies and strengthening international partnerships.This visit is part of the VNU-HCM Visiting Professorship Program (2025–2030), aiming to connect global scholars and foster innovation, research, and academic excellence.UIT believes that his presence will inspire students and faculty, opening new opportunities for learning and global engagement.
