On the afternoon of November 7th, at the Executive Building of VNUHCM, a ceremony was held to sign the Supplementary Agreement to adjust the cooperation agreement between VNUHCM and the Pony Chung Foundation. The event also included the awarding of Pony Chung scholarships for the academic year 2023-2024 to 35 outstanding students, graduate students of VNUCHM.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Lee Man-hee - Director of the Pony Chung Foundation, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam - Vice Chancellor of VNUHCM.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Tam stated that the Pony Chung Foundation has been granting annual scholarships to outstanding students of VNUHCM since 2007. After 17 years of implementation, the Foundation has awarded over 500 scholarships with a total value of $268,000 (approximately 6 billion VND).
Since 2019, the value of each scholarship has been increased to $600 (around 15 million VND), along with providing scholarships for graduate programs at Korean universities. In addition, Korean studies students at VNUHCM have the opportunity to receive one-year cultural and language exchange scholarships in Korea.
According to the Supplementary Agreement between VNUHCM and the Pony Chung Foundation, starting from 2023, the Foundation will officially increase the number of scholarships from 30 to 35 per academic year, raising the total annual sponsorship to $21,000 (over 500 million VND). Following the signing ceremony, 35 students and graduate students of VNUHCM were awarded Pony Chung scholarships for the academic year 2023-2024.
Mr. Lee Man-hee - Director of the Pony Chung Foundation expressed, "Our scholarship foundation promises to support you with all our sincerity. We hope that the students sitting here will challenge themselves to achieve excellent results in the future."
