A total of 93,831 candidates participated in the first round of the 2024 Competency Assessment Examination organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education on April 7 across 24 locations spanning from Central to Southwest regions with 51 examination clusters and 90 examination points.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Testing and Quality Assessment Center for Training Quality at Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, stated: "This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education allocated a minimum of 45% of the total enrollment quota for admission through competency assessment examination. The results of the examination are used by over 100 universities and colleges for admissions. The increasing trust of candidates and universities has affirmed the quality of the examination," emphasized Dr. Chinh.
Candidates took the Competency Assessment Examination at the examination board of the University of Science, District 5.
Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh also noted that the results of the first round of the Competency Assessment Examination would be announced on April 15. From April 16 to May 7, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City will open the registration portal for the second round of the examination. The registration period for both rounds of examination will be announced by Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City later.
"Similar to previous years, candidates can participate in both rounds of the examination. The results of the higher-scoring round will be used for admission," Dr. Chinh emphasized.
In the second round, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City will organize the examination on Sunday, June 2, in 12 provinces/cities: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, and An Giang.
