#UITGoGlobal 🌏 UIT Students Enrich Knowledge, Experience, and Global Exposure through the “Red Journey” in China
In recent years, the University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM (UIT) has continuously expanded international exchange, academic, and collaboration programs, creating opportunities for students to engage with global learning environments.
Through this direction, UIT students not only learn through theory but also observe, interact, and experience diverse cultural contexts firsthand. Programs such as the 2026 “Red Study and Research Journey for Vietnamese Youth in China” serve as an extension of the learning process, enabling students to approach knowledge in a more vivid and practical way.
Continuing the journey, on the sixth day, the UIT delegation—led by Assoc. Prof. Vu Duc Lung—engaged in a series of historical explorations and academic exchanges in China.
From Smart Agriculture to Practical Technology Insights
The day began with a visit to Zhengding Village in Hebei Province. The delegation explored a smart agriculture zone where modern farming models such as circular cultivation and aquaponics are applied.
UIT students gained insights into optimizing light and nutrient conditions to improve productivity, as well as the design of greenhouse systems capable of simulating different climate environments. As a result, tropical crops can be successfully cultivated even under the harsh weather conditions of northern China.
Beyond agricultural production, the area also integrates research and experiential education spaces, demonstrating a development model that combines agriculture, technology, and education. These experiences provided students with a clearer understanding of how science and technology are applied in real-life contexts.

Historical Imprints at the Ancient City
In the afternoon, the delegation continued to Zhengding Ancient City, a site rich in historical and cultural significance. Through guided exploration, students gained deeper insights into the formation, military role, and historical importance of this architectural complex in China’s development.

UIT Students Confidently Engaging in Global Dialogue
Later, the UIT delegation participated in the Vietnam–China Youth Forum at Hebei Normal University, centered on the theme “Inheriting the Red Legacy.”
In an open academic environment, UIT students and their Chinese counterparts shared perspectives on traditions, ideals, and the role of youth in today’s world. Discussions went beyond theory, connecting with personal experiences and future aspirations, helping students better understand the importance of preserving historical values while fostering responsibility and initiative.
Informal exchanges and side discussions further strengthened meaningful connections, allowing students to better understand each other’s perspectives, learning approaches, and shared concerns as part of a new generation in the region.

Expanding Knowledge through Experience
Concluding the sixth day, the UIT journey continues beyond the destinations visited, extending into future experiences and connections. The coming days promise more opportunities for exchange, learning, and exploration, allowing students to further enrich their knowledge and prepare for global academic and professional environments.
Aligned with UIT’s “Global Reach” strategy, this journey represents a continuous expansion of learning spaces and multidimensional connections—empowering students to grow, adapt, and confidently step into the global stage.
