Ceremony Announcing and Presenting Appointment and Reappointment Decisions for the Title of Associate Professor at the University of Information Technology

 

On the afternoon of 02 February 2026, the University of Information Technology (UIT) held a ceremony to announce and present appointment and reappointment decisions for the title of Associate Professor to faculty members who were officially recognized as meeting the national standards in 2025 by the State Council for Professorship.

In attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Lung, Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Acting Vice President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan, Vice President; along with leaders of affiliated units and numerous lecturers, researchers, and staff members across the University.

The ceremony formally announced and presented the decisions on appointment and reappointment of the Associate Professor title at UIT.

According to the 2025 results of the national review for professorial titles, on 8 January 2026 the State Council for Professorship signed decisions recognizing 900 educators nationwide as having met the standards for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor. Among them were 25 Associate Professors in the field of Information Technology and 30 Associate Professors in Electrical Engineering – Electronics – Automation.

At UIT, five faculty members met the standards for the title of Associate Professor in 2025, including four in Information Technology and one in Electrical Engineering – Electronics – Automation.

At the ceremony, Mr. Mai Van Cuong, M.A., Head of the Office of Organization and Administration, acting under the authorization of the University President, announced the decisions on appointment and reappointment to the title of Associate Professor:

  1. Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang – Faculty of Software Engineering

  2. Dr. Nguyen Tan Cam – Faculty of Information Science and Engineering

  3. Dr. Pham Van Hau – Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications

  4. Dr. Lam Duc Khai – Faculty of Computer Engineering

  5. Dr. Le Kim Hung – Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications

  6. Reappointment of Dr. Le Dinh Duy – Faculty of Computer Science

Extending his congratulations to the newly appointed Associate Professors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Lung expressed his confidence:

“You are all outstanding researchers with strong academic expertise, reputable publications, and extensive experience in supervising graduate students and doctoral candidates. I hope you will continue to accompany the University and contribute even more as we enter a new era—one that demands higher-quality and more specialized human resource training.”

The ceremony marked not only a significant milestone in the development of UIT’s academic staff but also a source of encouragement and pride for the entire University community. It stands as a testament to the sustained dedication of UIT’s faculty members in both research and teaching.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed Associate Professors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Kim Hung, Head of the Communications Division under the Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications, expressed his sincere appreciation for the University’s continued support and enabling conditions throughout the years.

“For me, the title of Associate Professor is not only an honor but also a responsibility. We are committed to contributing even more to the University, fulfilling our educational mission, and taking the lead in research.”

The ceremony recognizing and presenting appointment and reappointment decisions for the title of Associate Professor not only acknowledged the persistent efforts of UIT’s faculty in teaching and scientific research, but also reaffirmed the University’s sustainable academic development strategy.
