On the morning of April 15, 2024, the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City announced the results of the first round of the Assessment of Competence (ĐGNL) exam on the website https://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn/dgnl/. The highest score achieved was 1,076 points out of a total possible score of 1,200.
The score distribution for the first round exam followed a normal and broad distribution pattern, demonstrating a high ability to classify candidates, which is advantageous for the admissions process.
According to Associate Professor Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Assessment and Quality Assurance Center at Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, out of 93,828 exams graded, the average score of candidates was 643.4 points, with 80 candidates scoring above 1,000 points. The highest score obtained in the exam was 1,076 points, while the lowest score was 203 points.
Regarding the score distribution of this exam, Mr. Chinh remarked, "The score distribution for the first round of 2024 is close to a natural normal distribution. The wide range of scores demonstrates the high ability to classify candidates, which is advantageous for the admissions process."
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh further noted that the analysis results showed that the difficulty level of the ĐGNL exam for the first round in 2024 was appropriate according to the design of the exam structure. The majority of the exam questions had good to very good differentiation. This helped classify candidates and ensured that the exam results were suitable for admission purposes.
Within 14 days from the announcement of the first round results, the ĐGNL exam result certificates will be sent to candidates via postal mail (secured mail) to the contact address provided by the candidates beforehand.
The second round of the ĐGNL exam will be organized by Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday, June 2, in various locations, including Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tien Giang, An Giang, and is expected to take place in Ca Mau. Candidates can register for the second round from April 16 to May 7 and for admissions from April 16 to May 16.
Currently, 105 educational institutions have registered to use the results of the ĐGNL exam organized by Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City for admissions purposes.
