Title: Efficient Information Retrieval from Large Data for Intelligent Environment Development

Abstract:
This dissertation focuses on proposing effective query methods with different query formats from large datasets of static images or videos based on various search needs of users. Users can utilize sample images of objects or textual descriptions as queries. When querying with sample images of objects, users may be interested in the entire scene in the image, a specific object in the image, or even a group of objects, such as finding people at a specified location. When querying with textual descriptions, users use language to express the main objects and the relationships between these objects in the overall image to be searched.
