On March 31st, the Director of VNUHCM signed a decision to establish the VNUHCM Cybersecurity Center under the University of Information Technology.
Accordingly, the vision of this center is to become one of the leading research and technology transfer centers in the field of information security in Vietnam, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the local area and the whole country.
The center aims to develop into a specialized unit for information security at VNUHCM, collaborate with information system operating units, conduct reviews, assessments, and training on information security; Lead in training and disseminating core technology knowledge in research and application, enhancing the professional capacity of personnel working in information security.
From 2024 to 2026, the Cybersecurity Center will focus on research such as building passive monitoring systems for information security; safe information exercise systems, and SOC systems.
During this period, the center will also monitor and analyze risks to information security for electronic portals/websites; Conduct independent periodic evaluations (planned twice a year) on information security for important information systems of VNUHCM and its member units; Conduct exercises to ensure information security.
