Inviting students to register for the National ICPC Programming Competition on November 5th, 2023.

Hello everyone!

It's that time of the year again for OLP-ICPC 2023, and the destination is the National Olympiad in Informatics 2023 & The 2023 ICPC Asia Hue City at University of Science - Hue University from December 5th to 8th, 2023. The ICPC competition is arguably the most prestigious programming competition globally and is organized from the university level and above.

We've had several rounds of competitions recently:

  • On October 8th, the Northern ICPC round was hosted by University of Science and Technology - Hanoi National University. UIT students competed at UIT.
  • On October 15th, the Southern ICPC round was organized by VNUHCM-University of Science. UIT students competed at UIT.
  • On October 22nd, the Central ICPC round was hosted by University of Science - Hue University. UIT students competed at UIT.

To provide opportunities for UIT students to practice and compete, UIT will support your registration for the national-level ICPC Programming Competition on November 5th, 2023. This is considered the largest, most reputable programming competition for university students in Vietnam. The competition schedule is as follows:

  • (4) ICPC National Competition 2023: November 5th, 2023. UIT students and students from some neighboring universities will compete at UIT. Please check the announcement from the organizing committee at https://www.olp.vn/tin-t%E1%BB%A9c/o...%B4ng-b%C3%A1o
  • (5) ICPC Asia Hue City 2023: December 7th-8th, 2023 (approximately 3-5 teams from UIT will be fully sponsored for participation).

Some additional information:

  • ICPC Competition Format: Each team of 3 students will solve around 10 problems within 5 hours. The exam will be in English, and students are allowed to use printed dictionaries. Each student can bring 20 double-sided printed pages of reference materials.
  • Students who register for the competition and solve at least 1 problem will receive university credit points according to the regulations.
  • The registration fee for the competition (4) is 1,000,000 VND/team. UIT will sponsor the entire registration fee for the competition (Number 4) if the team solves at least 1 problem in any of the competitions (1)(2)(3).
  • Teams with good performance will be eligible to participate in the regional competition - competition (5).
  • Students in teams with good performance will be selected to represent the university in the National competition.
