Summary:
This thesis focuses on proposing effective querying methods with different query forms from large datasets of static images or videos based on various user search needs. Users can use sample images of objects or descriptive sentences in text form for querying. When querying with sample images of objects, users may be interested in the entire scene in the image, a specific object in the image, or even a group of objects, such as finding people at a specified location. When querying with descriptive sentences, users use natural language to express the main objects as well as the relationships between these objects in the overall image that needs to be searched.
