Dear students of the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Computer Science Scholarship Fund is a scholarship program dedicated to students currently studying Computer Science at University of Information Technology. Its purpose is to support students facing financial difficulties and encourage academic excellence and research.
The selected students will receive scholarships in the form of partial tuition fee sponsorship for the academic year. This year, the Faculty of Computer Science Scholarship Fund plans to award 10 scholarships to students of the faculty, with specific criteria as follows:
1. Categories and Number of Scholarships:
Category 1:
Computer Science students experiencing financial hardship due to natural disasters, storms, epidemics, or belonging to poor families.
Estimated scholarship value: 8,000,000 VND (eight million Vietnamese Dong) per scholarship.
Category 2:
Computer Science students with outstanding academic performance and research achievements.
Estimated scholarship value: 4,000,000 VND (four million Vietnamese Dong) per scholarship.
2. Application Requirements:
Category 1:
Minimum GPA of 6.0 in the academic year.
Priority given to students not receiving other scholarships from the university. Students with existing university scholarships can still apply.
Application documents include:
A letter describing the student's circumstances
An essay of no more than 1,000 words on the topic "My Life Philosophy, Dreams, and Future Career Plans," submitted to the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science.
Additional documents (if available)
Certificate confirming the family's status as impoverished or in difficult circumstances issued by the local authorities.
Certificate of participation in department, university, community, and social activities
Other achievements during the academic year.
Category 2:
Minimum GPA of 7.5 in the academic year.
Priority given to students not receiving other scholarships from the university. Students with existing university scholarships can still apply.
Application documents include:
An essay of no more than 1,000 words on the topic "My Life Philosophy, Dreams, and Future Career Plans," submitted to the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science.
Additional documents (if available)
Certificate of participation in department, university, community, and social activities
Other achievements during the academic year.
3. Application Deadline:

The Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science will announce the scholarship recipients starting from November 15, 2023, through the department's website.
The scholarship award ceremony will be organized within November 2023.
