The National Innovation Center of Vietnam (NIC), under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, in collaboration with FPT Corporation, Tresemi Organization from Silicon Valley, and Cadence, the world's leading chip design company. With support from the University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University of Technology (DUT), and University of Information Technology, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (UIT), is delighted to announce the commencement of an in-depth VLSI chip design training program. This collaboration sponsors 90 full scholarships for the "Fundamental VLSI Physical Design" course and provides job placement assistance upon course completion.
Course Content:
Developed and taught by Tresemi, this specialized course aims to enhance semiconductor design skills for the future professional workforce in the semiconductor industry in Vietnam:
- Processes and principles of physical design for large-scale VLSI integrated circuits.
- Skills in optimizing timing, area, power consumption, reliability, and feasibility of semiconductor chips.
- In-depth practical knowledge of using industry-standard EDA tools for designing and analyzing physical VLSI circuits.
Training Duration: 3 months, from February 20, 2024, to May 31, 2024.
Training Format:
- Language: English
- Theory: Online via Zoom application
- Practical: On-site in the laboratory and on the cloud
Target Participants: University students, Master's and Ph.D. candidates, Engineers with less than 2 years of experience in Vietnam, specializing in VLSI Design, or those in related fields looking to transition to the semiconductor industry.
Admission Criteria:
- Knowledge: Understanding of foundational Logic Design, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI, Linux Operating System, and Scripting Language.
- GPA: 2.8 or above (on a 4.0 scale)
- English Proficiency: Equivalent to B1
- Commitment: Active participation and successful course completion.
