UIT Students Shine at the Final Round of the 1st Vietnam National Student Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence – OlpAI’25

The Final Round of the 1st Vietnam National Student Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (OlpAI’25) concluded with an outstanding performance by the student delegation of the University of Information Technology, VNU-HCM (UIT). Remarkably, all 5 UIT teams qualifying for the final round won awards, achieving a complete and highly commendable result.

OlpAI’25 is part of the Vietnam Informatics Association’s initiatives to expand the national academic ecosystem, aiming to develop high-quality artificial intelligence (AI) human resources in alignment with the National Strategy on AI and digital transformation.

The OlpAI’25 Final Round brought together 59 teams with 177 outstanding students, selected from 124 teams and 367 students who had previously competed in regional qualifying rounds. Following impressive performances in the Southern Regional Qualifier, UIT participated in the final with 5 teams (15 students), clearly demonstrating the University’s strong position in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

After nearly 8 hours of persistent effort tackling in-depth AI challenges, all five UIT teams successfully overcame the competition and secured awards across all rankings, including:
