On November 13-14, 2024, the University of Information Technology will undergo an external assessment for four academic programs, adhering to international ASIIN accreditation standards. This marks the university's second engagement with ASIIN, a highly reputable accreditation organization from Germany, one of the world’s leaders in science, engineering, and technology.
ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics) is a prominent accreditation body within the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
In Vietnam, ASIIN conducts evaluation and certification activities for higher education institutions and degree programs in fields such as natural sciences, engineering, mathematics and statistics, computing, information technology, educational sciences, and teacher training. ASIIN’s quality certifications are recognized worldwide for ensuring the quality of higher education. The organization will comprehensively evaluate the programs based on several aspects, including program outcomes, curriculum framework, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, quality assurance processes, and the connections between the university, students, and industry.
The four programs participating in this accreditation round include: the undergraduate and master's programs in Computer Science; the undergraduate program in Computer Networking and Communications; and the master's program in Information Security.
