Bui Tuan Kiet is currently a fourth-year student majoring in Computer Science at University of Information Technology (UIT). For him, UIT is not only an ideal environment to pursue his passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) research but also a place that nurtures valuable human values within him.
Unwavering Study Efforts
Bui Tuan Kiet's journey in the pursuit of science has never been easy. He shares, "The feeling of exhaustion and stress has become an integral part of my daily life." There are days when he has to dedicate a whopping 16 hours, from 8 in the morning until midnight, to focus on completing assignments on time. In the past semester, many courses required him to continuously train models for 2-3 days to achieve the best results for projects.
Additionally, the report deadlines between courses were relatively close, and the time to complete each project was limited to 2-3 weeks. This demanded meticulous time management and planning from Tuan Kiet. Despite the challenges, his spirit remains unbroken. Kiet states that although this semester was challenging, it taught him valuable skills such as time management, patience, and perseverance. Most importantly, he takes pride in overcoming himself and achieving excellent academic results.

On the path of pursuing Artificial Intelligence, Bui Tuan Kiet is not alone. His motivation to pursue AI comes from the desire to contribute to the community. He hopes to play a part in the overall development of technology, bringing positive changes to Vietnamese society in particular.
Despite the busy schedule, Tuan Kiet still focuses on nurturing his mental well-being. He allocates time for playing basketball, jogging, or watching movies as a way to relax and temporarily escape the pressures, gearing up for further advancements. Moreover, despite the approximately 30km distance from home to school, he has never considered staying in the dormitory as he always wants to spend more time with his family.

"The learning environment at UIT is truly special."
According to Bui Tuan Kiet, UIT is an ideal learning and working environment for those pursuing IT. Firstly, the university has modern facilities, high-configured labs that allow students to access the latest technology to enhance and apply their skills. Additionally, Kiet is grateful for the transportation services provided for teachers and students living in the city, making his commute easier and safer.

Secondly, the professors and friends at UIT are exceptionally friendly, contributing to a positive learning environment. Kiet emphasizes the dedication of Professor Luong Ngoc Hoang as a decisive factor that kept him persistent on the AI research journey. The dedication is evident not only in the classroom but also in the detailed advice and guidance Professor Hoang provides through email or personal Facebook. Furthermore, Kiet draws strong inspiration from Professor Hoang. The phrase "No pain, no gain" mentioned by the professor has become Kiet's life motto, guiding him to overcome difficulties and achieve glorious heights.
Additionally, the group of close friends that Kiet bonded with since military service days is the best companion he has ever had. From the initial lonely days in the first year to now, they have always been a great source of encouragement, providing immense support for Kiet to focus on studying and researching.

Kiet believes that bonding with the school he attends is essential for every student. He values the experiences at the university, encourages participation in practical activities, and the building of friendly, quality relationships through involvement in student organizations and clubs.
Bui Tuan Kiet also expresses, "If given the opportunity, I am ready to pursue a master's degree at UIT because it will be a fantastic experience."
