Bui Tuan Kiet, currently a fourth-year student majoring in Computer Science at the University of Information Technology (UIT), views UIT not only as an ideal environment to cultivate his passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) research but also as a place nurturing valuable human value.
Relentless Academic Endeavors
Bui Tuan Kiet's pursuit of scientific knowledge has never been an easy journey. He shares, "The feeling of exhaustion and stress has become an indispensable part of my daily life." There are days when he dedicates a staggering 16 hours, from 8 am to 12 am, to meeting deadlines. During the recent semester, many courses required continuous model training for 2-3 days to achieve the best results for projects.
Additionally, the time between course reports is relatively close, with each project limited to 2-3 weeks, demanding meticulous time management from Tuan Kiet. Despite the challenges, he remains undeterred. Kiet states that this semester, though laden with difficulties, has taught him valuable lessons in time management, patience, perseverance, and most importantly, he takes pride in overcoming himself and achieving academic success.

On the path to pursuing Artificial Intelligence, Bui Tuan Kiet is not alone. His motivation stems from a desire to contribute to community service. He hopes to play a part in the overall development of technology, bringing positive changes to Vietnamese society in particular.
Despite the busy academic schedule, Bui Tuan Kiet emphasizes the importance of nurturing his mental well-being. He spends time playing basketball, jogging, or watching movies as a way to relax and temporarily escape the pressures, gearing up for further strides. Moreover, despite the approximately 30km distance from home to school, he has never considered staying in a dormitory, as he always wants to allocate more time to his family.

"The Learning Environment at UIT is Truly Special"
According to Bui Tuan Kiet, UIT provides an ideal learning and working environment for those pursuing Information Technology. Firstly, the university boasts modern facilities, high-configured labs allowing students to access the latest technology for self-improvement and skill enhancement. Additionally, Kiet appreciates the dedicated transportation services provided for teachers and students living in the inner city, facilitating easy and safe commutes.

Secondly, the professors and peers at UIT are exceptionally friendly, contributing to a positive learning environment. Kiet highlights the dedication of Professor Luong Ngoc Hoang as a decisive factor that kept him persistent on the AI research journey. The professor's dedication is not only evident in the classroom but also through detailed advice and responses provided to Kiet via email or personal Facebook. Moreover, Kiet draws strong inspiration from Professor Luong Ngoc Hoang, with the phrase "No pain, no gain" becoming his life motto, guiding him through challenges to conquer peaks of success.
Furthermore, the close-knit group of friends that Kiet bonded with since the military semester are his greatest companions. From the initial days of feeling lost in his first year to the present, they have always been a tremendous source of motivation, providing substantial encouragement for Kiet to stay focused on his studies and research.

Kiet believes that establishing a connection with the educational institution one attends is essential for every student. He emphasizes the importance of university experiences, encouraging active participation in practical activities and building quality relationships through involvement in student unions, clubs, teams, and groups.
Bui Tuan Kiet also candidly expresses, "If given the opportunity, I am ready to pursue a master's degree at UIT because it would be an amazing experience."
