VNUHCM – University of Information Technology (UIT) is proud to announce that team UIT-Wanna.W1n has excellently secured First Place in the Digital Forensics Award nomination at the Capture The Intruder 2026 international competition, which was hosted by the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI), Russian Federation.
Capture The Intruder is an international online competition designed for university students specializing in Incident and Cybercrime Investigation. The competition took place on March 11, 2026, with the official results announced the following day, and the grand award ceremony was held on March 13, 2026, in Moscow.
Representing UIT at the award ceremony were the following students:

Phan Lam Dung - Honor Program in Information Security 2024

This outstanding achievement further demonstrates the strong academic capability of UIT students in the international cybersecurity competition. It also highlights the growing presence of Vietnamese students who are confident, innovative, and capable of mastering advanced technologies in the field of cybersecurity.
During the award ceremony, Dr. Phan The Duy delivered remarks on behalf of UIT, expressing his high praise for the scale and professionalism of the competition. In the coming period, UIT plans to conduct an official visit and working session with MTUCI to deepen academic ties, including:
Jointly organizing and participating in international competitions in Information Security and Digital Forensics.
Establishing short-term and long-term student exchange programs.
Implementing joint international research projects in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics
