Le Thiên Quân, a 12th-grade student majoring in Informatics at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Quang Tri province, has just won the First Prize in the national Informatics competition for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is one of the many awards that this outstanding student has achieved.
"For me, Mr. Thai Xuan Dang and Mr. Tran Vinh Khanh (who won the Silver and Bronze medals, respectively, at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad) are sources of encouragement, motivation, and aspirations for me to strive every day," Quan shared.
Looking back, in the 10th grade in the 2021-2022 school year, although honored to be selected for the national Informatics talented student training team with seniors, Quan still lacked confidence. Surprisingly, in that year's competition, he won the Third Prize in the national Informatics competition. With a solid foundation, he actively participated in other competitions and won the Third Prize in the national ICPC programming contest, the First Prize in the Informatics Olympiad for the Central Highlands region, and the Gold Medal in the Informatics competition for specialized schools in the coastal and Red River Delta regions.
In particular, in the 11th grade, Thiên Quân won numerous awards: Second Prize in the national ICPC programming contest, First Prize in the young Informatics contest for the Central region, Third Prize in the national young Informatics contest, championship in the Hue ICT Informatics Olympiad, championship in the Danang Code League, Gold Medal in the Informatics Olympiad for the Central Highlands region, Gold Medal in the Informatics competition for specialized schools in the coastal and Red River Delta regions, and Second Prize in the national young Informatics contest.
In the 12th grade, he won the Second Prize in the national ICPC programming contest, the Third Prize in the ICPC Asia Hue City Regional Contest, and the First Prize in the national young Informatics contest. Le Thiên Quân said that with the First Prize in the national young Informatics contest, he was exempted from the high school graduation exam for the 2023-2024 academic year and was admitted directly to the University of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University. During this time, Thiên Quân focuses on studying English and preparing a solid foundation of knowledge to enter university.
