#UITGoGlobal 🌏 Spreading the “Global Reach” Strategy Through the 2026 Study Program in China

Within its long-term development orientation, “Global Reach” has been identified as a key strategic priority of the University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM (UIT), as well as Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City at large. This is not merely a directional slogan, but a strong institutional commitment to enhancing the quality of education, research, and global integration.
Aligned with this vision, UIT has continuously expanded its international collaborations, implemented academic exchange programs, and created opportunities for students to engage in multicultural learning environments from their early university years. Through these practical experiences, students not only strengthen their academic expertise but also develop a global mindset, adaptability, and the confidence required for international integration.
Continuing this strategy, a delegation of UIT faculty members and students has officially participated in the 2026 “Red Study and Research Journey for Vietnamese Youth in China.” This program carries significant academic value while also fostering exchange and connectivity between young people of the two nations amid deepening global integration.
Translating the “Global Reach” Strategy into Action
The program attracted strong interest from across the student body, with a total of 72 applications submitted. Following a rigorous selection process, 14 outstanding students were chosen to participate. These students not only represent academic excellence but also embody dynamism, ambition, and a readiness for global integration—hallmarks of UIT students in the modern era. Being selected for the program marks a proud milestone for each individual, while also reflecting the university’s pride as UIT students continue to make their presence felt in international settings.
A Journey of Learning – Connection – Development
From March 25 to April 1, 2026, the delegation will engage in a diverse series of activities combining academic study, research, and real-world experience. Vietnam–China youth forums and dialogue programs will provide platforms for academic exchange, perspective sharing, and mutual understanding.
In addition, visits to educational institutions, technology centers, and historical sites will offer students a comprehensive view of the host country’s socio-economic development and cultural heritage. Academic exchanges and cross-cultural experiences will further broaden perspectives and enhance adaptability in multicultural environments.

UIT Students – Ready for Global Integration
Through this program, UIT students gain direct exposure to international learning environments, enabling them to strengthen their professional competencies and develop essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and critical thinking. These are key factors that empower students to confidently enter the global labor market.
Moreover, participation in international exchange activities helps build bridges of cooperation between Vietnamese youth and their regional counterparts, aligning with UIT’s commitment to sustainable development.
With concrete actions and a clear strategic direction, UIT is steadily reinforcing its position on the regional and international education map. The “Global Reach” journey is not only reflected in collaborative programs but also realized through every learning and experiential opportunity made available to students.
“Global Reach,” therefore, is not just an objective—it is an ongoing journey in which every UIT student has the opportunity to become a global citizen, equipped with knowledge and resilience to contribute meaningfully to the community and society.
