Paper Title: "Apply Multivariate Time Series Approaches for Forecasting Vietnam Index 30" Paper Link: Springer Link Student Contributors: Nguyen Thanh Noi – 19521979 – Information Systems 2019: Lead author. Vo Quang Huy – 19521640 – Information Systems 2019: Co-author. Nguyen Minh Nhut – 17520867 – Information Systems 2017: Co-author. Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Thuan Paper Summary: The stock market is an attractive channel for many investment funds. The stock indices of several companies with the largest capitalization are essential indicators for the economic situation. The VN 30 index in Vietnam is calculated from the 30 companies with the largest capitalization and liquidity. Forecasting for these market indices is always a significant challenge. According to recent research, many prediction models for a variable, including LSTM and GRU, have been proposed to achieve good performance in analyzing time trends. However, stock indices are influenced by many factors that a univariate time series model cannot represent enough information. Therefore, this paper researches and applies multivariate time series with various methods from statistical VAR and machine learning regression to deep learning methods such as the LSTNet model combining CNN and LSTM, MTGNN applying graph neural networks, and DSTP using attention mechanism to weight dependencies for predicting the VN30 Index with multivariate time series data of the most significant and influential stocks on the current Vietnam stock market. The results of the study show that the LSTNet model achieves the best forecast among the experimented multivariate models with a 1.12% MAPE and outperforms univariate models. "We would like to express our gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Thuan – Lecturer of the Information Systems Department for dedicated guidance, identifying limitations, and providing possible improvements, assisting the team during the research and publication of this paper." The 10th International Conference on Future Data and Security Engineering (FDSE) is a leading forum designed for researchers and students interested in advanced and practical activities related to data, information, knowledge, and security techniques to explore advanced ideas, present and exchange research results, and discuss new issues and future directions for research and development in data, information, knowledge, and security techniques. Paper Title: "Translate Han-Nom to Vietnamese using Neural Machine Translation Methods" Paper Link: ResearchGate Link Student Contributors: Chau Tan – 20520926 – Software Engineering 2020: Lead author. Ngo Duc Vu – 20520950 – Software Engineering 2020: Co-author. Nguyen Minh Tri – 20522052 - Software Engineering 2020: Co-author. Nguyen Tran Anh Duc – 20521198 – Software Engineering 2020: Co-author. Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Trong Hop Paper Summary: In ancient times, Han-Nom language, an ancient language of Vietnam, played a significant role in the country's history. Its alphabet, known as Nom characters, developed and thrived from the 10th to the 20th century. Initially used to record names of individuals and places, Nom characters gradually became popular and integrated into the nation's culture. However, over time, the use and understanding of the Han-Nom language have declined, leading to its gradual fading. To address this issue, we introduce a new translation tool in this article, leveraging the power of deep learning techniques. Our tool focuses on translating Han-Nom characters into Vietnamese, the contemporary language of Vietnam. To accomplish this translation task, we use two popular deep learning models: the Transformer model and the Seq2Seq model. The results from our experiments show that both the Transformer and Seq2Seq models achieve satisfactory translation results, with the Transformer model performing slightly better than the Seq2Seq model according to BLEU scores. Although the translations may not be perfect, these initial results hold promise for preserving and understanding the Han-Nom language using deep learning techniques. "We would like to express our gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Trong Hop for accompanying and guiding our team throughout the research and publication process of this international scientific paper." The International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications is an annual conference series organized jointly by the Vietnam Electronics and Telecommunications Association (REV) and the IEEE Communications Society (IEEE ComSoc) since 2008. The goal of this conference series is twofold: to create an international forum for scientific and technological exchange between Vietnamese scientists and engineers and their counterparts worldwide in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, and related areas, and to gather high-quality research contributions from them.
