Introducing the Book "When Women Speak Up"

On August 26-27, 1910, the 2nd Congress of the World's Women was convened in Copenhagen (the capital of Denmark), with 100 female delegates from 17 countries deciding to designate March 8 as International Women's Day to advocate for the rights of women and children.

In commemoration of the 114th International Women's Day (08/03/1910 - 08/03/2024), the Central Library is pleased to introduce to our esteemed readers the book "When Women Speak Up: 35 Speeches by Women Who Changed the World," selected by Yvette Cooper.
