Laboratory of Multimedia Communications

1. Introduction

Multimedia Communications Laboratory (MCL) of VNUHCM-University of Information Technology (UIT), was founded under the Decision No. 27/QĐ-ĐHCNTT-TCHC on September 20, 2006. MCL’s duty is to promote the potential of multi-media research according to the UIT’s development and step by step approach to the direction of multimedia research in the world.

Image and video processing
Image recognition
Information security
Event search engine
3. MCL’s Research Fields

Focuses on the development of core technology to object identification in general, human face in particular, and multimedia events in photos and videos. . On this basis, we will consider extending the scope of this technology to other problems such as traffic management and medical imaging.
