Summary: Meeting between Freshmen 2023 and University Leaders

On November 21, 2022, University of Information Technology organized the program "Meeting with Freshmen 2023 and University Leaders," aiming to provide a platform for the university to directly listen to the contributions, thoughts, and aspirations of first-year students after a period of study and training at UIT. The goal was to enhance connections and understand the academic and student life at UIT.

The program included the participation of key figures such as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh - President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Trung Quan - Dean of the Computer Network and Communications Faculty, Dr. Nguyen Minh Son - Dean of the Computer Science Faculty, MSc. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung – Associate Dean of the Information Systems Faculty, MSc. Nguyen Van Kiet – Associate Dean of the Information Science and Engineering Faculty, MSc. Le Thanh Trong – Associate Dean of the Software Engineering Faculty, MSc. Do Van Tien – Associate Dean of the Computer Science Faculty, MSc. Nguyen Van Toan - Head of the Student Affairs Department, MSc. Nguyen Dinh Khuong - Head of the Department of IT & Data Resource Management, MSc. Tran Ba Nhiem - Deputy Head of Department of Undergraduate Studies, MSc. Le Ngo Thuc Vi - Head of the Office of Excellent Program, and Mr. Phan Hoang Chuong - Director of the Language Center.

Around 150 freshmen (2023 cohort) participated, posing questions and concerns to the university leaders. Questions revolved around academic issues, infrastructure and support policies, and the university's dining facilities. The concerns raised by the Class of 2023 were duly noted, and direct feedback was provided.

The topics discussed covered various aspects of academic life, including the quality of education, campus facilities, and support services. Through these interactive sessions, it is expected that the Class of 2023 gained a clearer understanding of the university's educational plans and student development initiatives.

This annual meeting between freshmen and university leaders serves as a valuable opportunity to understand the current situation and challenges faced by students while providing a direct channel for communication and feedback.
