On December 14, 2023, at Hall E, VNU-HCM University of Information Technology (UIT) organized the Annual Representative Conference for Public Employees and Workers in 2023. This annual conference aimed to review and comprehensively evaluate the activities throughout 2023, as well as set directions for the upcoming year, 2024. The conference was attended by Mr. Tran Anh Cuong, MSc., Chairman of the Labor Union of HCMUT, and Dr. Dinh Ai Linh, Deputy Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Board of VNU-HCM.
Representatives from the Trade Union of HCMUT and the Inspection and Legal Affairs Board of VNU-HCM attended the conference.
The university's leadership was represented by Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Lung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh, President; Dr. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Luu Thuy Ngan, Vice President; Mr. Dang Van Em, Chairman of the Labor Union; along with 133 representatives from the People's Inspectorate, Veterans' Association, Youth Union, Women's Union, and representatives from departments, offices, faculties, and departments.
The conference on Representatives of Public Employees and Workers in 2023 covered various topics, including a report on the overall results of the tasks in 2023 and the direction and tasks for 2024, a report on the activities of the University Council in 2023, a summary report on the activities of the People's Inspectorate for the term 2021-2023, and the election of the People's Inspectorate for the term 2023-2025.

In 2023, the University of Information Technology (UIT) achieved notable accomplishments, excelling in areas such as successful admissions, teaching, university graduation examinations, and program accreditation according to ASIIN standards. Postgraduate activities were maintained steadily, with a particular highlight on outstanding achievements in admissions.
Students of the university consistently achieved high academic results in both national and international competitions. They presented papers at prestigious international conferences and journals, affirming the quality of education and research at the university.
The university successfully organized various activities such as job fairs, seminars, conferences, and initiatives to support students. The number of collaborative projects with businesses in 2023 exceeded the set targets, showcasing the efforts of departments, laboratories, and administrative units in enhancing cooperation with enterprises.

During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Tan Tran Minh Khang outlined the directions for activities in 2024, aiming to continue the effective implementation of tasks carried out in 2023. The focus will be on refining operational mechanisms, enhancing managerial capabilities, and fulfilling responsibilities and authorities in accordance with legal regulations. Additionally, the university will strengthen monitoring and accountability activities, fostering unity and consensus throughout the institution. It aims to uphold democratic, civilized, disciplined principles to gradually affirm the university's position and reputation both domestically and internationally.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Vu Duc Lung, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University Council, approved the Activity Report of the University Council for the year 2023. Furthermore, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuong presented a summary report on the activities of the People's Inspectorate for the term 2021-2023.

In addition, the conference voted and elected the new People's Inspectorate for the term 2023-2025, consisting of three members: Ms. Tran Thi Dung, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuong, and Mr. Duong Phi Long. Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hoang Tu Anh congratulated the new People's Inspectorate and presented flowers. Mr. Dang Van Em (Chairman of the University Trade Union) expressed gratitude to Mr. Lam Duc Khai, a member of the outgoing People's Inspectorate, for completing his term.
During the conference, the contributions and opinions of the staff and workers were acknowledged and considered by the University of Information Technology. The university is committed to making continuous efforts to improve and accomplish the assigned tasks in the coming year.
