NET Challenge 2023 is a competition focused on network management and problem-solving. It provides a healthy platform for UIT-ers to enhance their skills in computer networking, device configuration, and troubleshooting network issues. This competition promises to be explosive with two rounds filled with exciting and challenging tasks.
To ensure the participants are well-prepared for this competition, let's explore more about the details of each round!
ROUND 1 INFORMATION:
- Time: From 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM, on October 28th, 2023.
- Location: Room B1.14 - University of Information Technology.
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Format: Multiple-choice questions.
- Content: Topics include computer networking, device configuration, and network issue troubleshooting.
Notes for Round 1 Participants:
- Each member of the team will take the multiple-choice test individually.
- Team leaders need to ensure that team members have different exam codes to avoid duplication.
- The team's score will be the average of all team members' scores; absent team members will be scored as 0.
- Team members are not allowed to communicate with each other during the test; they are permitted to use reference materials and search tools.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the results of any team if there is evidence of cheating or intentional violation of the competition rules.
- The decisions of the organizing committee are final.
ROUND 2 INFORMATION:
- Time: From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on October 28th, 2023.
- Location: Room B1.14 - University of Information Technology - Ho Chi Minh City National University.
- Duration: 240 minutes.
- Format: Configuration and troubleshooting of network issues on the Virtual Lab system (VnetLab).
- Participating Teams: All teams that participated in Round 1.
- Lunch Note: For the convenience of the participating teams, the organizing committee will provide lunch for the teams in Round 2.
Notes for Round 2 Participants:
- Team members will configure the network system according to the requirements specified by the organizing committee.
- The team's score will be based on the number of completed requirements. For incomplete requirements, the score will be calculated as a percentage of completion.
- Teams are NOT ALLOWED TO COMMUNICATE with each other during the round.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the results of any team if there is evidence of cheating or intentional violation of the competition rules.
- The decisions of the organizing committee are final.
PRIZE STRUCTURE:
One 1st Prize: 4,000,000 VND + Gold Medal
One 2nd Prize: 3,000,000 VND + Silver Medal
Two 3rd Prizes: 2,000,000 VND + Bronze Medals each
Two Individual Awards for Outstanding Performance in Round 1: 500,000 VND each
Four Teams with the Highest Total Points in Rounds 1 & 2 will advance to the Finals!
