"CE DAY 2023" - The Imprint of the Traditional Computer Engineering Faculty Day

On the afternoon of November 18, the traditional CE DAY 2023 took place at Hall E, University of Information Technology.

The event is organized annually by the Computer Engineering Faculty to create an environment for dynamic, creative, and comprehensive learning and training. Additionally, CE DAY aims to establish connections among students, alumni, and businesses, thereby affirming the quality of education provided by the Computer Engineering Department.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Son - Dean of the Computer Engineering Faculty, stated: "This is a traditional activity of the Computer Engineering Faculty, part of the department's annual activities extending from March to November. The event, organized around November 20, is an occasion for students and alumni to express gratitude to their teachers and an opportunity for teachers to meet their former students. With CE DAY 2023, I am delighted to spread the spirit to many generations of returning students."

It is noted that CE DAY 2023 also serves as an opportunity for companies to introduce themselves to students, providing information about the company, working environment, and attractive job opportunities. During the program, Mr. Kevin Koh, representing Faraday Technology Vietnam Company, introduced his company.

As part of the program, a session of interaction and conversation between speakers and students took place, providing students with valuable insights for future career directions.

In the academic year 2022 - 2023, the Computer Engineering Department achieved many impressive results and was recognized as a unit contributing actively to the activities of the Youth Union and Youth Movement in the 2022 - 2023 academic year at the University of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology. To acknowledge these contributions, the Head of the Computer Engineering Department presented a gift to the collective of the Computer Engineering Department.

During the ceremony, the Computer Engineering Faculty also awarded 15 "CE Scholarship" scholarships to outstanding Youth Union and Youth Movement members, female students in difficult circumstances, students with excellent academic achievements, and students with high scores in the TOEIC exam, aiming to provide additional motivation for students to strive and excel in the future.

Simultaneously, in the program, the organizers also conducted the award ceremony for the UIT CAR RACING competition, the national round of the International Electronic Olympic Games AMO. In the end, the team NHH_STEM_Rhyder from Nguyen Huu Huan High School excellently won the First Prize in the "UIT CAR RACING 2023" Open category, and the LTK team excelled in winning the First Prize in the "UIT CAR RACING 2023" Professional category. In the national round of the International Electronic Olympic Games AMO, student Tran Hoang Viet from University of Information Technology,  won the First Prize.
