Summary of the paper:
In the realm of modern multi-object tracking, the proposed method balances the trade-off between precision and runtime. The approach divides the tracking process into two steps: the detection process to locate objects in the image and the tracking process to assign identities to each result from the object detection. In this research, the team optimizes the tracking process by generalizing the BYTE technique (Cascade Association) and integrating camera motion compensation into the Association phase. Our proposed KCM-Track tracking system establishes state-of-the-art accuracy on the MOT17 dataset using MOT's main metrics: MOTA, IDF1, and HOTA. On the MOT17 benchmark, it achieves 80.6% MOTA, 79.7% IDF1, and 64.6% HOTA while maintaining a tracking speed of 314FPS.
The student expresses deep gratitude to ThS. Trương Văn Cương – the lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science. He has been a constant companion, providing support and guidance throughout the research. He identified limitations and suggested ideas that helped them achieve positive results in this study. Thanks to him, they have been able to accumulate valuable experience and knowledge for themselves, confidently moving forward on their path.
