Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology Adopts Three Admission Methods in 2024

In 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology (UIT), a member of the National University, will employ three admission methods, with a total expected enrollment of 2,960 students.

Admission through Three Methods:

UIT has recently announced its admission orientation for the year 2024, becoming the first university in the National University of Ho Chi Minh City to disclose information about the 2024 undergraduate admission.

The university will admit students through three admission methods:

Method 1: Direct Admission and Priority Admission (estimated 500 quotas)

  • Direct admission, priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
  • Priority direct admission for the best students in high schools (according to the regulations of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City).
  • Priority admission according to the regulations of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Priority direct admission according to the regulations of the University of Information Technology.

Method 2: Admission Based on Exam Scores (estimated 1,360 quotas)

  • Evaluation of aptitude test scores organized by the National University of Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Evaluation of aptitude test scores organized by the National University of Hanoi.
  • High school graduation exam scores.

Method 3: Admission Based on Recognized International Certificates (estimated 140 quotas)

  • International certificates assessing knowledge in natural and social sciences.
  • Foreign language certificates in English, Japanese.

Introduction of Microchip Design:

In 2024, the university officially introduces a new major in microchip design, admitting 150 students through two subject combinations A00 (mathematics - physics - chemistry) and A01 (mathematics - physics - English).

With the BCU collaborative program, there are majors in computer science (50 quotas) and computer networks and information security (30 quotas).

Additionally, in 2024, the university will admit students in the field of electronic commerce.

For the direct admission method according to the regulations of the University of Information Technology, admission will be directly into the talent program.

The goal of this admission method is to select outstanding and excellent students to train and provide high-quality research, lecturers, and expert human resources for cutting-edge technology fields.

Students in the talent program are directed and encouraged to participate in highly innovative research projects and applications.

Eligibility: Candidates who won first, second, and third prizes in computer science, mathematics, physics, and chemistry in the national high school student excellence competition.

Candidates who won the championship, first prize (gold), and second prize (silver) in the "Asian Programming - ICPC Asia" competition (national level) in the two consecutive years before the admission year.

In 2024, for the first time, the university will admit candidates based on the results of the aptitude test organized by the National University of Hanoi and meeting the quality assurance threshold.
