Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) has received notification from the National University of Singapore (NUS) regarding the NUS-AUN Summer Camp program for the year 2024, under the AUN Summer Program framework.
1. Program Information:
Previously known as the Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS), the program will now be implemented as the NUS-AUN Summer Camp. Participating students will enhance their understanding of current challenges in the ASEAN and Asian regions, develop interdisciplinary ideas for addressing these issues, and become global citizens through cultural exchanges, networking, and capacity building activities. This year's program, themed "Interconnected Communities," will focus on 03 main topics: Climate change and sustainability; Needs and desires; Diversity and harmony.

2. Duration: From July 01 to July 13, 2024.
3. Location: Singapore.
4. Costs:
- Organizers will cover program expenses, accommodation, and some meals.
- The university will support airfare and insurance for participating students as follows:
+ Airfare: minimum of 5,000,000 VND/student.
+ Insurance: 500,000 VND/student.
- Students are responsible for other living expenses outside the program.
5. Quota: 08 students representing VNUHCM.
6. Eligibility Criteria:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate students at VNUHCM member units and affiliates.
- Academic excellence, with priority given to academic awards recipients.
- Proficient in English.
- Leadership potential, teamwork skills, and good communication.
- Preference for students with extracurricular activities and cultural exchanges, especially those related to ASEAN.
- Students must commit to fully participate in the program.
7. Application Documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English.
- Student Information Form (attached form).
- Vietnamese academic transcript certified by the educational institution.
- Language proficiency certificate.
- Leadership experience, extracurricular activities, cultural exchange certificates.
- Academic awards certificates (if any).
8. Application Procedure:
- Students submit their application documents (scanned copies) to the Student Affairs Office via email ctsv@uit.edu.vn with the Subject: [NUS-AUN Summer Camp 2024] [Student ID] [Full Name] before 8:00 AM on April 18, 2024.
- The Student Affairs Office will review and select 01 application and notify the student of the result.
- Selected students must submit hard copies of the required documents to the Student Affairs Office before 8:00 AM on April 19, 2024.
- The university will send a nomination letter to VNUHCM for approval.
- Once the official results are received from VNUHCM, students will be informed to participate in the program.
