SVVN - Tran Vinh Khanh (born in 2005, from Quang Tri province) has left his mark with numerous prestigious awards in the field of computer science, both domestically and internationally. Tran Vinh Khanh is one of the first-year students representing the delegation attending the 7th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Union, for the term 2023-2028.
Passion for Computer Science and Technology
Growing up in the region known as the "iron land" of the Motherland, Nguyen Vinh Khanh revealed his passion for computer science from a young age. With a mother who is a computer science teacher, Khanh credits his mother for nurturing and guiding his passion. Being a "legacy" and having a supportive family environment allowed him to quickly engage with technology. This laid the foundation for his future successes. The first-year student shared, "When I was little, it might have been basic activities like using a computer for entertainment and learning. As I grew older and had more exposure to different things, that passion grew. Additionally, my mother is the one who always encourages and supports me wholeheartedly. Her care is the motivation for me to strive harder each day on the path of pursuing computer science."
The passion began to shine when the young man from Quang Tri entered middle school. The first encounter led Vinh Khanh to participate in competitions to showcase himself and his brilliance began to emerge. Achieving high results in the district-level Computer Science Olympiad, he determined the main path he would pursue. The directions related to computer science and technology gradually took shape and became clearer as Khanh entered high school. As a student at Quang Tri Town High School, Tran Vinh Khanh used his passion and talent to achieve impressive awards. Notable achievements include the Second Prize in the National Excellent Student Competition and being a contestant in the 'Road to Mount Olympia' competition. Particularly noteworthy is the Silver Medal in the Asian-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, a milestone marking Vinh Khanh's talent.

Sharing his successes, the first-year male student candidly expressed that he had to put in a lot of effort and perseverance, as this field is challenging and requires a high level of focus as well as self-study skills. With these achievements, Vinh Khanh chose the VNUHCM-University of Information Technology as the place to be associated with and study for the next 4 years of university.
To achieve these impressive results, Tran Vinh Khanh also faced numerous challenges. In a province like Quang Tri, where the conditions for study and infrastructure are not truly developed, opportunities to interact with experts or high-tech equipment are limited. Additionally, Khanh shared that he does not abuse late-night studying. Rest and recreation are also ways he uses to enhance the quality of his studies.
