Members of TeamQ - Wanna.W1n is participating in the Data for Life 2023 competition with the topic "Development of a Fraudulent Website Detection Application Using Multi-Method Deep Learning."

Team W1.Shark has developed an application called Shark-eyess, designed to detect fraudulent websites using multi-method deep learning techniques aimed at protecting end-users.

According to Vo Quang Minh, a member of Team W1.Shark, the widespread use of the internet has created an opportunity for cybercriminals to launch phishing attacks targeting individuals lacking knowledge about online safety. These attacks aim to steal sensitive information and finances, causing financial losses and damaging the reputation of large organizations that are impersonated.

In response to this situation, the team researched and implemented a solution based on multi-method deep learning to detect fraudulent websites. The machine learning model, after training, is capable of real-time detection of phishing websites and promptly alerts users when accessing such sites. The solution has been deployed as a user-friendly application accessible to all.

The Data for Life 2023 competition, organized by the Administrative Management Police Department (C06) under the Ministry of Public Security, is set to take place from August 7, 2023. The competition is a collaboration between the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam Television, and VnExpress.

Apart from the initial application stage, the competition consists of three rounds: preliminary (41 teams), finals (10 teams), where prizes will be awarded to the top 5 outstanding teams. The final round is scheduled for November 23-24 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The total prize pool is expected to be 370 million Vietnamese dong, with the first and second prizes being 200 million and 100 million dong, respectively.
