Nearly 100 students participated in the "Information Literacy Skills" training session in 2024, organized by the UIT Library.

On March 12, 2024, the UIT Library organized the first session of the "Information Literacy Skills" training course for nearly 100 students who registered to participate. In this course, students were introduced to and practiced important skills such as efficient internet information searching, evaluating the quality of information sources, searching and using online databases, understanding scientific indexes, citation practices, and commonly used citation standards such as APA, IEEE, etc. Additionally, students were guided on the use of tools and software such as Zotero 6.0 and Overleaf - LaTeX language to cite and create reference lists.

Students found the knowledge conveyed in the class to be practical and essential for their learning and scientific research at the university. They hope that the university will organize more similar courses to help students develop their skills and learning mindset beyond the curriculum.

The class will also organize a final session (second session) on the morning of March 19, 2024, at room B2.20. Students can register at the following link: https://link.uit.edu.vn/dangkytaphuanKNTT2024
