Abstract:
Object detection in aerial images has recently attracted significant attention, playing a crucial role in identifying objects at a distance from an aerial perspective. Unlike images collected at ground level, objects in aerial images are often not aligned along axes and can have arbitrary orientations. In this paper, we have researched and evaluated the Oriented RepPoints method. This method leverages the representation of adaptive points to capture important geometric features of arbitrarily oriented objects distributed with high density in complex contexts. Extended experiments were conducted on the SODA-A dataset, providing additional useful information for further research.
