Student Exchange Event between BCU Cohorts and Meeting with BCU Students Completing Phase 1

Yesterday afternoon, on October 26, 2023, in Hall E of University of Information Technology, a Student Exchange program was held between BCU cohorts and a meeting with BCU students from the 2020 and 2021 cohorts who have completed Phase 1.

The event was graced by the presence of:

Assoc. Prof. Nguyễn Lưu Thùy Ngân, Vice President of the university

Assoc. Prof. Ngô Đức Thành, Dean of Faculty of Computer Science

Master Trần Thị Dung, Associate Dean of Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications

Master Lê Ngô Thục Vi, Head of Office of Excellent Program

Master Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Diễm, lecturer, and Coordinator for BCU Cohorts 2022 and 2023

Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Lê Thuận, Head of BCU Admissions in Vietnam

Of particular note was the attendance of BCU students from the 2019 to 2023 cohorts.

The program provided an opportunity for BCU students from five different cohorts to interact and share their learning experiences, work experiences, and life journeys. First and second-year BCU students posed many questions, expressing their concerns about studying at the university. These questions were attentively addressed by senior students and alumni. The organizers also integrated activities such as electronic sports (badminton on Nintendo Switch) and tea breaks to foster a lively and friendly atmosphere.

This occasion also allowed the Office of Excellent Programs to reflect on key achievements over the past five years of implementing the collaborative program between the University of Information Technology and Birmingham City University, United Kingdom. The faculty members presented certificates to 39 students who have successfully completed Phase 1 and are now preparing for Phase 2 (which can be pursued either in Vietnam or transferred to the United Kingdom). Assoc. Prof. Nguyễn Lưu Thùy Ngân, representing the faculty, offered warm congratulations and words of encouragement to the students.

Through this program, it is hoped that students had enjoyable moments and made new acquaintances with fellow students and alumni. Best wishes are extended to all the students who have completed Phase 1, encouraging them to continue their efforts to conquer the remaining challenges and graduate with an international degree in the future.
