UIT nurtures young talents through an international internship program in Singapore
At the University of Information Technology, VNUHCM (UIT), learning extends beyond lecture halls to include real-world experiences. Continuing this educational philosophy, UIT recently organized an international field trip and internship program in Singapore for students who won the A Prize and the Special Prize of the UIT Honors Challenge 2025.

The trip took place from August 5 to November 8, 2025, as part of UIT’s talent development program, recognizing students with outstanding achievements in learning, research, and innovation.
Four exceptional UIT students participated in this program:
-
Thai Vinh Dat (ATTN 2022) – A Prize, Round 2/2024
-
Ngo Tran Anh Ninh (ATTN 2023) – A Prize, Round 1/2025
-
Le Thien Quan (KHTN 2024) – A Prize, Round 5/2025
-
Tran Vinh Khanh (KHTN 2023) – A Prize, Round 5/2025

The first destination was ByteDance Singapore, the headquarters of the global technology company behind TikTok. Here, students observed a modern and dynamic workplace, learned about global corporate culture, and explored large-scale technology operations. They also engaged in discussions about career opportunities, internships, and professional growth in an international environment.
The students continued their learning journey at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), where they met and exchanged ideas with UIT alumni currently studying and conducting research there. At Amazon Singapore, students gained firsthand exposure to the operation of cloud computing services and interacted with professional engineers to deepen their understanding of enterprise technology.

During their stay, the group also visited Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). They were introduced to the institution’s study environment, research directions, and career opportunities, followed by tours of advanced laboratories such as the CyberSecurity Lab, Information Security Lab, AI Center (in collaboration with NVIDIA), Integrated Circuit Lab, and Data Center. The students also attended SIT’s “Demo Day”, where graduating students presented their projects to faculty and industry representatives—an invaluable opportunity to observe international students’ approaches to applied research and project presentation.
Le Thien Quan, an outstanding Computer Science student (Class of 2024), shared: “Participating in this international internship program was an invaluable experience that broadened my perspective, helped me better understand global working cultures, and guided me in shaping my future career path.”

In addition, UIT students joined the National Young Leaders Fellowship program at Halogen Singapore, where they engaged in experiential learning activities focused on leadership, critical thinking, and community responsibility—essential qualities for future technology leaders.
Among the participants, Tran Vinh Khanh, an excellent Computer Science student (Class of 2023), expressed:
“What impressed me most was the opportunity to meet and exchange directly with lecturers and alumni currently working in Singapore. UIT has always encouraged us to take part in academic competitions and research activities, and this trip was a meaningful recognition of those efforts."
The international field trip and internship in Singapore not only served as a well-deserved reward for the students’ exceptional achievements but also provided them with valuable, hands-on experiences. These opportunities empower UIT students to strengthen their skills, expand their global outlook, and continue their journey toward becoming high-quality human resources ready to contribute to Vietnam’s digital transformation era.
