On the morning of July 3, 2024, the University of Information Technology (UIT), VNU-HCM welcomed and worked with a delegation from the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). During the meeting, both sides discussed future cooperation opportunities.

The meeting commenced with a presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. May Lim about SIT’s training programs, modern facilities, and recent achievements. Advanced scientific research from SIT was also introduced, including groundbreaking virtual reality applications and the TEL (Technology Enhanced Learning) framework and initiatives.

During the discussion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Duy proposed various forms of collaboration, such as joint research, organizing seminars (both online and offline), cooperative project implementation, and co-supervision of research. These initiatives aim to foster a comprehensive and effective partnership between the two institutions.

Additionally, Dr. Ngo Duc Thanh emphasized the potential of AI collaboration, considering it a vital development direction for the Faculty of Computer Science and UIT as a whole.

During the meeting, both sides agreed on potential future cooperation focusing on three main areas: students, academics, and educational technology. Collaborative research and development of IT products and solutions, along with opportunities for UIT students to participate in competitions and exchange programs at SIT, were discussed. This opens up opportunities for learning and experiencing an international educational environment. Furthermore, SIT welcomed UIT faculty to teach and research at SIT and to participate in "Hackathon" competitions and educational technology conferences, providing opportunities for interaction, learning, and skill development for both students and faculty.
The meeting concluded successfully, opening up numerous cooperation prospects between UIT and SIT, contributing to enhancing the training and research quality of both institutions.
