Announcement: Conducting Mental Health Survey for Students of Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City

1.Research Purpose: To assess and screen symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as to understand social support systems and attitudes towards seeking help from mental health professionals among students of Ho Chi Minh City National University; laying the foundation for developing and proposing a psychological counseling model within the university.

2.Participating Students: UIT students can participate in the survey by logging in with their university email (studentID@gm.uit.edu.vn) via the following link: https://link.uit.edu.vn/Khao-sat-suc-khoe-tinh-than

3.Survey Duration: The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.

4.Survey Oversight: Data is being collected by the Office of Student Affairs of VNUHCM; the Research and Mental Health Support Center, University of Social Sciences and Humanities,, in accordance with Decision No. 703/QĐ-ĐHQG dated 12th June 2023 by the Director of VNUHCM and Plan No. 1649/KH-ĐHQG dated 27th September 2023 by Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

5.Survey Respondents' Actions: Students will be invited to complete an online survey designed on Google Form interface. This survey will inquire about various mental health issues (such as anxiety, depression, social support systems, attitudes towards seeking help from mental health professionals, and feelings of happiness within the university). Additionally, the survey will collect some demographic information about the respondents (such as their academic program, specialization, academic year, gender, and academic performance in the most recent semester).

6.Commitment:

How the survey data will be used: All data collected from this survey will be kept confidential. This data will be analyzed to build and propose a psychological counseling model within Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City. Personal information and survey data will not be shared with any third party.
