In accordance with the plan No. 116/KH-ĐHCNTT dated 26/2/2024 of the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, regarding the organization of student sports activities in 2024, the Student Affairs Office announces the organization of basketball competitions as follows:
Participants - Eligibility:
- Students in regular training programs at the University.
- Must be in good health to participate in the competition.
- Must have valid health insurance and accident insurance.
- Only eligible to register for the team of the department they are currently studying.
Competition Contents:
- Men's Basketball (only organized when there are at least 04 registered teams).
- Women's Basketball (only organized when there are at least 03 registered teams).
Time and Venue:
- Competition Time (expected): Mid-March 2024. Detailed schedule will be provided after the list of registered teams is finalized.
- Summary and Prize Presentation: Immediately after the end of the final match of each competition.
Competition Venue: Basketball Court - University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City
Registration Fee and Registration Method:
- Registration period: From the date of this announcement until the end of 10/03/2024.
- Registration Method: Students register for the competition and pay the registration fee through the Registration Supervisor of their respective Departments.
- Participation Fee:
- Men's Basketball: VND 250,000/team
- Women's Basketball: VND 150,000/team
Competition Format:
- Apply the International Basketball Rules (FIBA) for 3vs3.
- For Men's Basketball: each team must register a minimum of 5 athletes, maximum 7 athletes. The number of athletes remains unchanged throughout the tournament. All members of the team must be from the same department.
- For Women's Basketball: each team must register a minimum of 4 athletes, maximum 7 athletes. The number of athletes remains unchanged throughout the tournament. Team members can be from multiple departments. Encourage same department participation.
Prizes: Depending on the number of registrations, the Organizing Committee will allocate the number of prizes. At least 3 prizes for the men's category and 2 prizes for the women's category:
- First Prize: Medal + cash reward
- Second Prize: Medal + cash reward
- Third Prize: Medal + cash reward
In addition, students participating in the tournament will be recognized for Training Points; receive Certificates of Participation/Achievement and serve as the basis for selecting students to participate in higher-level sports events.
The Student Affairs Office informs all students to train and register to participate in the competition.
