Finals of the Individual Online Competition and Qualifying Round for Team Competition - "Youth Competition with Marxist-Leninist and Ho Chi Minh Thought: The Youth Journey" - 2024

"The Youth Journey 2024" has entered its more intense stages. Only a few more days until the final showdown of the individual online competition and the qualifying round for the team competition.

The atmosphere of the competition is getting hotter as teams and participants who have achieved high results in the previous rounds have to compete against each other to reach the highest prize, promising to be dramatic competitions.

Details of the Final Individual Online Competition:

Participants: Students whose names are on the list for the final round in the 2 qualifying rounds as previously announced.

Time: 8:30 AM, May 4, 2024, at Hall E. Participants should arrive at least 30 minutes early for check-in and drawing of the competition positions.

Format:

  • All participants in the final round will use personal devices, gathered at the competition venue.

  • Participants will answer 25 questions displayed on the screen one by one.

  • For each question, incorrect answers will not score points, while correct answers will score [X - Number of participants who answered correctly] - (X is the number of participants present at the competition +1) points.

Example: If there are 40 participants present at the competition and 40 participants answer correctly, each participant will receive 1 point; if only 1 participant answers correctly, that participant will receive 40 points.

  • After answering 25 questions, based on the ranking list of scores, 3 participants will be selected for awards.

  • In case of tied scores, participants will compete by answering 3 additional questions through direct confrontation. After 3 questions, the participant with the higher score will be the winner.

  • Direct confrontation format: Participants will signal to answer, a correct answer will earn 1 point, otherwise, the opponent will earn 1 point.

  • Other rules and notes are attached via email.

Overall Prizes: After 2 rounds of competition, the most outstanding individuals will be selected to compete in the final round with the following prize structure:

  • 01 First Prize: 700,000 VND/prize + Medal + Certificate of Commendation from the University Youth Union.

  • 01 Second Prize: 500,000 VND/prize + Medal + Certificate of Commendation from the University Youth Union.

  • 01 Third Prize: 300,000 VND/prize + Medal + Certificate of Commendation from the University Youth Union.

  • 02 prizes for the individuals with the best performance each week of the competition: 100,000 VND/prize.

Details of the Team Competition Qualifying Round:

Participants: Registered teams according to regulations.

Time: 10:00 AM, May 4, 2024, at Hall E, University of Information Technology.

Format: Teams will compete in a multiple-choice format with the following rules:

  • Participating teams will answer multiple-choice questions using a board and marker, gathered at the competition venue.

  • Teams will answer 25 questions displayed on the screen one by one.

  • For each question, incorrect answers will not score points, while correct answers will score [Number of participating teams + 1 - Number of teams that answered correctly] points.

Example: if there are 15 participating teams and 15 teams answer correctly, each team will receive 1 point; if only 1 team answers correctly, that team will receive 15 points.

  • After answering 25 questions, based on the ranking list of scores, 6 teams will be selected for the final round, divided into 2 groups (Group A: teams ranked 1st, 3rd, 5th; Group B: teams ranked 2nd, 4th, 6th).

  • In case of tied scores, teams will compete by answering 3 additional questions through direct confrontation. After 3 questions, the team with the higher score will be the winner.

  • Direct confrontation format: Teams will signal to answer, a correct answer will earn 1 point, otherwise, the opposing team will earn 1 point.

  • Other rules and notes are attached via email.

Prizes for the Team Competition:

  • 01 First Prize: 2,000,000 VND + Medal + Certificate of Commendation from the University Management Board.

  • 01 Second Prize: 1,500,000 VND + Medal + Certificate of Commendation from the University Management Board.

  • 01 Third Prize: 1,000,000 VND + Medal + Certificate of Commendation from the University Management Board.

  • 01 Encouragement Prize: 1,000,000 VND + Certificate of Commendation from the Rector.

  • Prizes for units that prepare well for and participate in the competition: 01 prize with a value of 500,000 VND/prize.
