Announcement of scholarships for Computer Science majors for the academic year 2023

Dear Computer Science Faculty (CSF) students,

The CSF Scholarship Fund is the exclusive scholarship for the Computer Science Faculty’s students at UIT to support students with financial need and encourage them in education and research.

Selected students will get partial tuition aid for the academic year as part of their scholarship. This year, the CSF Scholarship Fund intends to grant 10 scholarships to CSF’s students according to the followings:

1. Subjected students and number of scholarships:

For No.1 subjected students:

- CSF students face adversity as a result of natural catastrophes, floods, epidemics, and low-income families.

- Expected scholarship value VND$8,000,000 (eight million VND) for one scholarship.

For No.2 subjected students:

- CSF’s Students have excellent academic records as well as exceptional scientific research accomplishments.

- Expected scholarship value: VND$4,000,000 VND (four million VND) for one scholarship.

2. Documentation and scholarship eligibility requirements:

For No. 1 subjected students:

- The academic year's average score is 6.0 or above.

- Priority is given to student candidates who have not previously won UIT’s scholarships. Students who have previously obtained UIT’s scholarships may still apply for scholarship consideration.

The records include:

- A letter explaining the student's circumstances to the CSF’s Board of Directors.

- A 1,000-word essay on the theme "My perspective on life, my dreams, and my future career plans" must be submitted to the CSF’s Board of Directors.

Other documents (if any, submit):

- Certificate from the local government verifying that the family is a poor or problematic home.

- Certificate of participation in CSF, UIT, Union, Community, and Society activities.

- Other achievements during the academic year.

For Subjected student No.2:

- The academic year's average score is 7.5 or above.

- Priority is given to student candidates who have not previously won UIT’s scholarships. Students who have previously obtained UIT’s scholarships may still apply for scholarship consideration.

The records include:

- A 1,000-word essay on the theme "My perspective on life, my dreams, and my future career plans" must be submitted to the CSF’s Board of Directors.

Other documents (if any, submit):

- Certificate of participation in CSF, UIT, Union, Community, and Society activities.

- Other achievements during the academic year.

3. Time:

- From the date of notification until 01 November 2023, students can apply online at https://forms.gle/duj6vFjzof4AL8u98.

- The CSF's Board of Directors publishes scholarship applicants on the CSF's website beginning November 15, 2023.

- CSF will organize a scholarship award ceremony in November 2023.

- In November 2023, CSF will host a scholarship award event.
