On the morning of October 24, 2023, in room E1.1, representatives from VNUHCM - University of Information Technology (UIT), and Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam Company (Bosch) engaged in discussions regarding collaborative research opportunities in areas related to Post Quantum Cryptography and Intrusion Detection System (IDPS).
Representatives from Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam (BGSV) included Mr. Phan Thanh Hoàng - Senior Technical Manager, Mr. Hà Thế Việt - Project Manager for IDPS, Mr. Sinautzki Stephan - Project Manager for Post Quantum Cryptography, and Ms. Trần Như Phụng - Human Resources Department.
From the University of Information Technology, attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dương Ngọc Hảo - Deputy Head of the Department of Graduate Studies – Science Technology, Assoc. Prof. Đoàn Duy - Deputy Dean of Faculty of Computer Engineering, Master Phan Thế Duy - Deputy Dean of Information Security Laboratory, and Master Phạm Hoài Luân - Lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Engineering.
Assoc. Prof. Đoàn Duy, Deputy Head of faculty of Computer Engineering , provided a brief introduction to the research groups.
During the meeting, representatives from UIT provided an overview of the university and its collaborative projects with various businesses. They discussed research groups related to Quantum Computing and Information Security, delving into specific research topics and emphasizing results related to Post Quantum Cryptography. Master Phan Thế Duy also introduced the Information Security Laboratory, its related research topics, findings, and the potential applications of research on encryption, security, and network intrusion detection techniques.
Mr. Sinautzki Stephan shared insights about the research project and proposed potential research directions for collaboration with UIT.
Representatives from Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam shared information about their Post Quantum Cryptography research project and proposed potential research directions in collaboration with UIT. They also introduced their research project on IDPS and discussed the purpose of the scientific research collaboration program between Bosch and UIT, research sponsorship, and joint project development. They further presented management and coordination models for research team members' participation at BGSV, such as internships, research positions, and research expert roles.
The representatives from the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam (BGSV) participated in the working session.
Through these exchanges, UIT evaluated research areas that align closely with the current research directions of the Computer Science and Engineering Department. In the coming weeks, UIT and Bosch will continue to meet to further discuss the details and timeline of their collaboration.
