As part of their visit to Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) on Monday, May 27, 2024, a delegation from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan (NTHU), led by President John Kao, visited and worked with the University of Information Technology (UIT), VNU-HCM.
The delegation from NTHU was welcomed by Dr. Nguyễn Minh Sơn, Head of the Faculty of Computer Engineering, representing UIT. Dr. Nguyễn Minh Sơn provided an overview of UIT, its mission, and training objectives. He also emphasized the international standard teaching and training programs, along with prominent research projects and significant achievements UIT has made in the fields of semiconductors and microchips.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Application-Specific Integrated Circuit Laboratory (ASIC LAB) and listened to Dr. Nguyễn Minh Sơn share insights about the lab’s functions, facilities, and research activities in microchip design. The delegation expressed strong impressions of UIT's advancements and developments and hoped for future collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.
