Guidelines for Participating in the Graduation Ceremony for BCU Students in 2023

General Notes:

  • Exercise caution in safeguarding personal belongings and valuable items.
  • Maintain order, turn off mobile phones, and refrain from using laptops during the ceremony.
  • The institution will arrange for photographs of graduates in the auditorium. Pay attention to the use of photography services not provided by the university. Refrain from taking personal photos or going on stage to present flowers during the ceremony.
  • Graduates can view and download photos from the Office of Excellent Programs website within 3 to 5 days after the ceremony.

For Graduates Attending the Ceremony:

  • Assemble at 8:00 AM in the E Hall for roll call and individual commemorative photos.
  • Students must be punctual, sit in assigned seats as per instructions, and follow the attendance procedures with the designated staff. Failure to comply may result in exclusion from the graduation protocol.
  • Follow the directions of the organizing committee and refrain from leaving the hall during the ceremony (expected to end at 10:30 AM with time allocated for free photography afterward).
  • Wear the prescribed graduation attire and tilt the cap to the left.
  • Remember your assigned seat number and sit in the designated position as instructed.
  • During the flag salute, stand without wearing the cap. When the graduation decision is read, stand, wear the cap, and tilt it to the left.

Degree Collection Procedure:

Step 1: Move according to the instructions from the organizing committee.

Note: Move away from the seat towards the left side.

Step 2: Approach the front of the stage, adjust your attire, tilt the cap to the left, and wait for your name to be called.

Step 3: Upon hearing your name, move to the center of the stage; bow, shake hands with the instructor with both hands; bow to allow the instructor to adjust the cap and present the medal. When receiving the degree, hold it with both hands, at chest height. Turn towards the audience, look straight into the camera, and take a photo with the instructor.

Step 4: Move to the right side of the stage, arrange yourselves in a line as directed, and wait for the group photo.

Step 5: Return to your seat following the instructions.

For Parents:

  • Please follow the instructions of the organizing committee. Sit in the designated seats provided in Hall E to observe the graduation ceremony.
  • Each graduating student can invite a maximum of 05 family members. If the number exceeds the limit, the organizing committee cannot guarantee seating and reception of congratulatory treats.
  • Take care of personal belongings to prevent theft.
  • Avoid congregating near the stage, entrances, and exits of Hall E.
